A perfect life, or a perfect lie?

Rebecca Giovanni has a beautiful life—a job she loves, a new husband who’s a great deal better than the old one, and two charming daughters from her first marriage.

It’s hard not to be smug about how well she’s done for herself.

She trusts her new husband.

Then she wakes to find him and her sixteen-year-old daughter missing. Their dog is dead, and the front door is wide open.

No matter what the police insinuate, Rebecca cannot believe Leroy and Tabby went anywhere together willingly. She’s doing a stellar job, but blended families always have their difficulties. And they'd never leave the house without their phones and wallets.

But where are they? What happened in the house that night?

Rebecca’s younger daughter is acting strangely, and her ex-husband is hiding secrets of his own—like where he was that night, and the real reason that he left Rebecca.

And Rebecca can’t help thinking about the last time she saw her husband, and heard him say something she’d rather forget…

“Move over Jodi Picoult. Very good writing. Cleverly vague, just enough to keep us in the dark til the very end. So many twists and turns that I never saw coming. Very well done. I highly recommend this book.” ★★★★★ Amazon review

“This dark psychological family drama isn't the same old plot. The basic structure involves good pacing and strong characters, making it a can't put it down thriller. You know it's good when you wake up in the middle of the night "for just one more chapter". Unless I missed something, I didn't see the end coming. Good job!” ★★★★★ Amazon review

Families Are Not Always As They Appear

After reading S.A.McEwen's novel The Lost Boy, I was looking forward to her new novel "Good Girl Bad", and I wasn't disappointed.
Rebecca's perfect family, the image of which she has worked so hard to portray, is about to implode in unimaginable ways. Domestic abuse not always as we envisage. McEwen's well-drawn characters (she really gets into their minds) and dark plot with twists and turns makes the book a must read for fans of psychological domestic thrillers. Looking forward to her next book "Sister in Trouble".

Engrossing family drama

I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. Complex, twisty, with characters that aren’t neatly boxed into ‘good’ and ‘bad’ and everyone manages to surprise you. Highly recommend!
